2 Great Weight Loss Myths That Are Destroying Your Life

Do you know the number one mistake people make when it comes to weight loss?

It is the mistake of dieting. That dieting can aid you in weight loss is just a myth and nothing else.

Consider for a moment, the word ‘diet’. The first three letters of the word gives us the word ‘die’. Well, that is the ultimate reality of those who diet. If you fall for any of the popular diet fads, sooner or later you will be on your way to heaven! In reality, when you diet, you eat very little food, and when you reduce your food intake, your body moves into a so-called ’starvation mode’. When in this mode, your body stores fat instead of burning it.

Here is how the whole thing happens: when you reduce your food intake drastically, your body is surprised and it thinks that there must be a famine. So, your body decides that it should conserve energy (in the form of fat) to survive the famine. Therefore, it stores and stores fat and you start gaining weight. Now the question remains - if the body doesn’t burn fat for energy production, where the hell does it get energy from? Why, by burning your precious muscles! That is correct - when you diet, you lose your lean muscles instead of fat, which is completely the opposite of what you want. Remember that muscle loss is equivalent to loss of strength, so don’t be surprised if you start suffering from fatigue and loss of energy once you are a couple of weeks into ‘dieting’.

There is another weight loss myth which states that you are fat because of your genes - meaning that you are genetically predisposed to obesity. This is completely untrue. People don’t become fat because of their genes. And by the way, genes are what you make them to be. If you constantly eat fatty foods then that is what you will become ultimately - fat.

What you need to lose weight is focus and the desire to take action. The gene myth is all B.S. and probably spread by the media in an effort to shift the ‘guilt pangs’ from the individual’s side, so that the large companies can sell him more ‘miracle pills’ and drugs.

Remember that your only big enemy is your negative mindset. Unless you change your mindset into a positive one, you cannot expect to lose weight. Get the negative thoughts out of your way and see how simple it is to lose weight!
